The briefing of the Chief of Infrastructure at the Armed Forces Support Inspectorate - Solina, held from May 30th to June 1st, 2023, was another meeting attended by the INF ARMY team. During the session dedicated to environmental protection representatives, Agnieszka Chmiel delivered a presentation on the implementation of the LIFE INF ARMY project, while the Manager, Ms. Katarzyna Kępa, provided an overview of pro-environmental actions within the Ministry of National Defense (MON) and the acquisition of funding for this purpose to all participants.

On May 18, 2023, the second nature workshop took place within the Natura 2000 site PLC140001: Kampinos Forest, as part of a series of 10 field meetings under the theme "Supporting and Managing Natura 2000 Areas on Military Grounds" as part of task T.2.1 of the project 101074108 - LIFE21-GIE-PL-INF-ARMY.

The workshop was held in the Kampinos Forest and the Grocholskie Piachy Landscape Protection Area, and was attended by staff from the Regional Military Training Center as well as a large group of representatives from the Kampinos National Park.

On May 16, 2023, the first nature workshop took place within the Natura 2000 site PLH180013 Ostoja Góry Słonne, marking the beginning of a series of 10 field meetings under the theme "Supporting and Managing Natura 2000 Areas on Military Grounds" as part of task T.2.1 of the project 101074108 - LIFE21-GIE-PL-INF-ARMY.

The main objective of the workshop was to familiarize participants with the natural value and the issues concerning nature conservation and the environment within the military grounds of Ostoja Góry Słonne.

On May 9, 2023, the opening conference of the Wetlands Green Life project took place in Warsaw. The project is co-funded by the General Directorate for Environmental Protection, the Office of Forestry Management and Land Surveying, and the University of Agriculture in Krakow. The event, in which the INF ARMY team had the great pleasure to participate, was opened by the Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment and the Director of the Office of Forestry Management and Land Surveying.

On 4 April 2023, a course entitled 'Environmental Safety' was held at the Academy of Military Art in Rembertów (Akademia Sztuki Wojennej – ASzWoj). 

At the invitation of the organisers, the presentation entitled "Supporting military land users in the management of Natura 2000 sites" was given by INF ARMY project manager Katarzyna Kępa.

We are pleased to announce another step in the implementation of the LIFE21-GIE-PL-INF-ARMY project! On March 31st, 2023, we received our new Toyota Corolla Cross, purchased as part of the LIFE21-GIE-PL-INF-ARMY project "Supporting users of military areas in managing Natura 2000 areas", funded by the LIFE Financial Instrument and NFOÅšiGW. This model stands out for its positive environmental aspects thanks to its hybrid drive - it is environmentally friendly, and its low CO2 emissions contribute to reducing the negative impact of transportation on the natural environment.

On February 9th, 2023, the first meeting of the INF ARMY Steering Committee was held in Warsaw.

One of the important points of the meeting was the election of the Committee's Presidium. Dr. Marcin Mazuryk, Director of the Department of Infrastructure at the Ministry of National Defense, was unanimously elected as the Chairman.

Colonel Krzysztof Kaleta was chosen as the Vice-Chairman, and Ms. Justyna Cielec was appointed as the Secretary.

An agreement on co-financing by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management was signed in Warsaw, without which we would not be able to continue our activities.

Now officially our budget is as follows:

Between November 28-30, 2022, we had the pleasure of hosting Mrs. Edyta Owadowska, the project monitor for INF ARMY on behalf of the European Commission, at the Project Office.

The purpose of the visit was not only to check the progress of the project, but also to get to know the entire team and provide support in areas that are new to us. An important part of the meeting was also the on-site reconnaissance - presenting one of the Natura 2000 areas covered by our project (PLH120014: Błędowska Desert).
